Getting started

  1. Install the add-on.

    Visit Google Workspace Marketplace and install Co-Drawing with the Google account you use for Meet.

  2. Open an activity.

    In a Meet call, open Activities and select Co-Drawing. Start the activity and have participants join.

  3. Save when you need to.

    Connect Google Drive and turn on auto-save if you want to keep the whiteboard. Confirm the file is in Drive before relying on it as your only copy.

Common questions

Where is Co-Drawing in Meet?

Look in the Activities area. Confirm the add-on is installed for the account used in the call. Workspace administrators may restrict installation or access.

How do I save my whiteboard?

Authorize Google Drive and enable auto-save. Saving depends on successful authorization and Drive access. Check for your saved file in Drive; a session without saving should not be treated as permanent storage.

Why can’t I edit a Drive file?

Editing depends on your Google account’s permission to edit that file. Check the account and sharing permissions in Drive.

Does everyone need to join?

Participants who want to interact with the shared whiteboard should join the Co-Drawing activity in Meet.

Troubleshooting

  • Check your internet connection and reload the Meet activity.
  • Make sure you are using the intended Google account.
  • If installation is blocked, ask your Workspace administrator about add-on access.
  • For saving issues, check Google authorization, Drive permissions, and the auto-save setting.
